Dolphins to Dogs.

Golden Perfection is owned by an experiecned trainer. Orla has a Bsc in Zoology, and Msc in Animal Behaviour, Diploma in Dog grooming and is Pet First aid and CPR trained. After years of experience training Dolphins, Dogs, Parrots, Green Sea Turtles, Sting Ray and fish she decided it was time to move home to Ireland and focus on her passion for animal welfare, training and enrichment. A huge part of my career so far has been educating people on animals and I want to continue that passion extending to the animals we take into our homes.

Behaviours that are rewarded are repeated.

Why positive reinforcement?

I have been training animals using positive reinforcement for over a decade. Simply put I choose this method because it works. Positive reinforcement is ethical, creates a happy learning environment, the learner is actively engaged and excited to participate, is mentally stimulated and the teacher is stress free and happy. Lasting results come from the creation of a positive learning environment and personalities shine where relationships are nurtured.

Providing choices and using rewards empowers your dog to make the right choice.

Relationship building and trust:

I build a relationship with each dog I work with. I move at their pace assessing their needs and closely watching their body language and behaviours to their environment around them. I address their everyday lives to discover the route cause of the behavioural issue and provide behavioural plans for owners to work on outside of our sessions. Behaviour modification and training is not achieved overnight. It takes hard work and commitment but together we will get there.
